What it involves

The older way of doing it

Bait fishing is how the Paraná has always been fished, and it is what most guests choose on their first trip. You work from the boat, the guide reads the water and puts you where the fish are holding, and the fight is the same one — heavy, fast, and usually in the air.

It asks less of your casting than fly does, which makes it the better start if you have never met this fish. It is not the easy option. It is the direct one.

Or the other way

You do not have to choose in advance

Río Bravo runs both, with the same guides and the same four full days, so you can switch during the week. Plenty of guests fish bait in the morning and pick up a fly rod after lunch.

Fishing permits are included. Tackle rental is USD 35 a day if you would rather not travel with rods.
